Bomb Threat Under Investigation At Western Mass High School: Police

Northampton Police are investigating after a bomb threat was made against Northampton High School on the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 13, the department said.

Police said the threat was made on social media around 2 p.m. Officers arrived on the scene to investigate and later determined the school to be safe, police said.

Students were eventually dismissed for the day at about 3:45 p.m., police added. The threat remains under investigation.

This comes the same day another bomb threat was made against Quincy High School on the South Shore earlier Tuesday morning. That threat was made by an anonymous caller, according to Quincy Police.
